Wael Gamal, M.Sc. is a graduate research assistant in Dr. Javier Pinilla's lab at Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute in Tampa, Florida, U.S.A. His research is focused on understanding the metabolic abnormalities associated with T-cell exhaustion in CLL microenvironment. His aim is to apply this knowledge for improving CLL adoptive cell therapy options. Wael earned his bachelor's and master's degrees in pharmaceutical sciences from Faculty of Pharmacy, Cairo University in Egypt.
