Mercedes Borge PhD. Associate Researcher from the National Scientific and Technical Research Council (CONICET), at the Laboratory of Inmunología Oncológica, IMEX-CONICET-ANM. Buenos Aires, Argentina. Our Lab is focused in the study of chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), as a model to unravel the complex interactions of tumor cells and the supportive microenvironment. The major goals of our Lab are: to understand the mechanisms responsible for leukemia initiation and progression, to evaluate the effect of new therapeutic agents on the immune system of CLL patients and to decipher new mechanisms involved in supporting the survival of leukemic cells to establish new therapeutic targets.
