Johanne Uthus Hermansen received her MSc from the Norwegian University of Life Science in 2017, under the supervision of Dr. Sigrid S Skånland and is currently working on a PhD in Dr. Skånland’s project group at Oslo University Hospital and University of Oslo, Norway. Hermansen has previous experience in advanced biobanking and conduction of national translational research on childhood cancer and prevention of allergic disease in children. Her work is currently focusing on translational precision medicine, with main focus on functional precision medicine in research on chronic lymphocytic leukemia. By performing functional analysis such as ex vivo drug sensitivity screening and single cell profiling, she aims to identify biomarker signatures that can predict outcomes for the individual patient.
