Dr William F. Mawalla is a Haematologist who serves as a lecturer at the Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences (MUHAS) in Tanzania, within the Department of Haematology and Blood Transfusion. Additionally, he holds an honorary research position in the Department of Oncology at Oxford University. Dr Mawalla plays a key role in planning and overseeing research projects and academic programs in his department. At present, he is a co-director for a specialized CLL course targeted towards healthcare providers from Low-and Middle-income regions, organized through the iwCLL Global Partnership Education Programme. Apart from his teaching and research duties, Mawalla offers healthcare services and supervises students at the Haematology and Blood Transfusion unit of Muhimbili National Hospital and the MUHAS Academic Medical Centre, which is the teaching hospital affiliated with MUHAS.
