Dr. Yair Herishanu graduated from the Ben-Gurion University in Beer Sheba and subsequently completed his internal medicine residency at Sapir Medical Center, in Kfar-Saba and hematology fellowship at Tel-Aviv Sourasky Medical Center, Tel Aviv, Israel. He later trained at NHLBI/NIH in Bethesda studying the pathobiology of CLL.
Dr. Herishanu is associate professor of hematology at Sackler Faculty of Medicine, Tel-Aviv University, and head of CLL unit and Director of the hematology clinic at Tel-Aviv Sourasky Medical Center. His main clinical and research interest is CLL. He is an active member in the Israeli CLL, a board member of the European Research Initiative on CLL (ERIC) and published over 100 manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals.
