Dr. ten Hacken is an Assistant Professor of Cancer Biology at Weill Cornell Medicine since March 2023. She graduated with a PhD in Biology and Biotherapy of Cancer from Vita-Salute San Raffaele University, Milan, in 2014, under the supervision of Drs. Paolo Ghia and Federico Caligaris-Cappio and carried out her first postdoctoral training at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX, under the supervision of Dr. Jan Burger. She joined Dr. Catherine Wu’s lab at Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston in July 2016 for a second postdoctoral fellowship, with a focus on mouse models of B cell malignancies and was appointed as Instructor in Medicine at Harvard Medical School in 2019. She has longstanding interest in chronic lymphocytic leukemia with a current focus on functional genomics of Richter’s syndrome. She is a recipient of numerous awards, including the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Special Fellow Award, and two Scholar awards from ASH.
